Mavia is built on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing BASE as an L2 scaling solution. The MAVIA token can be bridged between ETH L1 and BASE L2 by using Mavia bridge.

MAVIA is the core governance currency used in the Mavia ecosystem, and is also the bridge to obtaining RUBY through the RUBY Exchange. RUBY is Mavia’s earnable currency, which can be acquired when defeating enemy bases in battle or completing challenges. RUBY’s is used in game modes such as Ruby Battles and Alliance Battles. RUBY is also the core in-game currency for the Ruby Marketplace, where you can Legendary items such as skins, consumables and much more. Each RUBY use case has a deflationary pressure on the RUBY currency.

You do not need to own NFT Land to be able to play in Mavia. NFT Land owners do receive a boost in RUBY earnings per battle won. Otherwise, all gameplay for F2P and NFT Land Owners is similar. NFT Land owners may receive other benefits such as exclusive tournaments or branding opportunities.
